Hello.
I have put some bitmaps that can be interchanged with the skin file, using Resource Hacker program.
That way you can personalize the skin. Say, have a Star Trek, or Superman theme start menu.

If you can find transparent background logos for the top of bitmap, and bigger ones for the menu part,
it will be much easier.
You still need to have access to an Adobe photo program that can work with, and save as 32 bit bitmaps.
Another good one is Paint.net It requires a 32 bit plugin to be downloaded though.
I use a tiny program called PixelFormer for most of my work.
It works differently, where program can open many separate window instances at the same time.

Which ever you have, open the bitmap.
Then open and copy over your transparency picture, and past as another layer,
 on top of the bitmap skin. Shrink and move around to taste, and if it is way too bright for the menu, blend the layer anywhere from 75 to 25 percent. Merge the visible layers, save as 32 bit .bmp

Then open up Batdude .skin7 file with Resource Hacker. Look for correct bitmap folder on the left,
 open and click and replace resource with yor modified bitmap, save as new name.skin7
That's it. Copy it to skins folder in Classic Shell folder. You are done.

Main_bitmap=1           Dimensions:411x670
Main_bitmap_search=8    Dimensions:411x670
Main_bitmap_jump=13       Dimensions:512x670

[NOPICTURES]
Main_bitmap=39          Dimensions:411x670
Main_bitmap_search=39   Dimensions:411x670
Main_bitmap_jump=40        Dimensions:512x670

The main bitmap, and search bitmap, are same size, so they can be replaced in 1, or 8, or 39 locations.
The jumplist bitmap is bigger, and can only be replaced in 13, or 40 locations.

If you put them in the wrong places, you will know right away when the menu starts. Will look cut off, and invisible.
If you see the top of menu with black at the corners, the bitmap is not 32 bit anymore. Try again.

Additional note. Try not to put picture at very bottom of bitmap. There is about 50 pixels at the bottom,
that will stretch, when menu becomes tall.
